Selling, How to Begin

The selling process begins when you come in for a free appraisal and evaluation of your items at our antiques center. We can provide free auction estimates at our gallery, either by bringing the item in, or from quality photographs. Thursday is our official appraisal day, but we are open seven days a week.

For the larger estate, we will arrange an appointment to provide you with auction estimates.  When you are ready to consign, we will provide an itemized inventory list with estimates for each lot. We offer free "walk in" Thursdays for those people who just want a market appraisal for their items. We may also consider outright purchase for estates in the range of $2,000 to $1,000,000. All consignments must be of clear title and consignors must be the owner of the inventory or have the legal right to sell this inventory.

We have refined our business to be one of the most cost effective auction houses in the New York area. Our advertising is optimized by using national trade magazines and direct mailings to our 20,000 plus retail customers. Greenwich Auction also has an established presence on the internet with two of our own web pages and exposure on Live Auctioneers. We use our direct business relationships with dealers and decorators from across the US and internationally. We are in a retail complex with annual sales of $780 million.
